About this kayak tour

There is no quieter, more magical time to be on the water in Venice than dawn. As the sun comes up, the canals are mirror-still, the light turns gold, and the city belongs — for an hour or two — to almost no one.

This guided sunrise paddle is our most atmospheric tour. You'll glide past landmarks with no crowds and no boat traffic, the perfect experience for photographers and early risers.

As with all our tours, the kayaks are stable and beginner-friendly, your guide stays with you throughout, and changing facilities are provided when you return.

Common questions

Do I need any kayaking experience?

No. The kayaks we use are sit-on-top, very stable and easy to use, and your guide gives full instruction before you set off. Our tours are suitable for complete beginners.

What should I wear and bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a little splashed, and bring sunglasses, sun cream and a hat in warmer months. We provide changing facilities so you can change back into dry clothes when you return.

How long do the tours last?

Our standard day and night tours last around 100 minutes on the water, plus a short briefing beforehand. The Quick Bite tour is a shorter 60-minute paddle.
